Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati | Transfer to Shillong via Umiam Lake, Don Bosco Museum, Lady Hydari Park & Ward’s Lake

Arrive at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Guwahati, before 10:00 AM, where our tour representative will warmly welcome you. Begin your scenic journey towards Shillong, popularly known as the “Scotland of the East.”

En route, visit the beautiful Umiam Lake, Meghalaya’s largest man-made lake, known for its breathtaking views and peaceful surroundings. Take some time to capture memorable photographs and enjoy the serene beauty of the lake.

Upon reaching Shillong, explore the renowned Don Bosco Museum, which showcases the rich culture, traditions, and heritage of Northeast India. Continue your sightseeing with a visit to Lady Hydari Park, a beautifully maintained garden with colorful flowers and peaceful walking paths.

Later, visit Ward’s Lake, one of Shillong’s most popular attractions, where you can enjoy a relaxing stroll amidst scenic surroundings.

After a day of exploration, check in to your hotel and enjoy an overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 2: Shillong to Cherrapunji | Explore Elephant Falls, Mawkdok Valley, Garden of Caves, Wei Sawdong Falls, Nohkalikai Falls, Mawsmai Caves, Echo Park & Seven Sisters Falls

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin your scenic drive from Shillong to Cherrapunji (Sohra), one of the wettest places on Earth, famous for its waterfalls, caves, and breathtaking landscapes.

Start your sightseeing with Elephant Falls, one of Meghalaya’s most famous waterfalls surrounded by lush greenery. Continue to Mawkdok Valley, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the beautiful valleys and hills.

Next, explore the fascinating Garden of Caves, a natural attraction featuring caves, waterfalls, and unique rock formations. Continue to the breathtaking Wei Sawdong Falls, a stunning three-tiered waterfall renowned for its crystal-clear turquoise pools and picturesque surroundings.

Later, visit Nohkalikai Falls, India’s tallest plunge waterfall, known for its spectacular views.

Continue your journey to Mawsmai Caves, a naturally formed limestone cave famous for its unique formations and narrow passages.

Day 3: Cherrapunji Sightseeing | Nongriat Root Bridge (Full Day Trek to Double Decker Root Bridge, Blue Lagoon & Rainbow Falls)

After an early breakfast, get ready for an adventurous full-day trek to the famous Nongriat Root Bridge.

The trek takes you through lush green forests, traditional Khasi villages, and beautiful natural landscapes. Experience the unique charm of Meghalaya while exploring the world-famous Living Root Bridges, created by the Khasi community using natural tree roots.

Reach the iconic Double Decker Root Bridge, one of Meghalaya’s most famous natural wonders. Spend some time admiring this incredible example of traditional Khasi craftsmanship.

Continue your trek towards the crystal-clear Blue Lagoon, a peaceful natural pool surrounded by scenic beauty. Further, explore the stunning Rainbow Falls, known for its cascading waters and breathtaking surroundings.

After completing the trek, return to Cherrapunji and relax after an adventurous day.

Day 4: Cherrapunji to Dawki via Mawlynnong | Umngot River & Shnongpdeng Village

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin your journey towards Dawki via Mawlynnong.

Visit Mawlynnong Village, known as one of Asia’s cleanest villages, and experience its eco-friendly lifestyle, beautiful surroundings, and peaceful atmosphere.

Continue your journey to Shnongpdeng Village, a beautiful riverside destination known for its scenic landscapes and adventure activities. Visit the famous Shnongpdeng Bridge and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding area.

Later, explore the breathtaking Umngot River, famous for its crystal-clear waters and mesmerizing natural beauty. You can also enjoy a peaceful boat ride on the river (at your own expense).

After an exciting day, check in to your stay in Dawki and enjoy an overnight stay.

Day 5: Dawki to Shillong via Jowai | India-Bangladesh Border, Krang Suri Falls & Laitlum Canyon

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin your journey back to Shillong via Jowai.

Visit the India-Bangladesh Border, where you can witness the international boundary and enjoy the scenic surroundings.

Continue towards Krang Suri Falls, one of Meghalaya’s most beautiful waterfalls, famous for its turquoise-blue waters and peaceful atmosphere. Spend time enjoying the beauty of the waterfall and capturing memorable photographs.

On the way back to Shillong, visit the spectacular Laitlum Canyon, known for its breathtaking panoramic views of deep valleys, green hills, and dramatic landscapes.

Arrive in Shillong, check in to your hotel, and enjoy an overnight stay.

Day 6: Departure Day | Transfer to Guwahati and End the Trip with Lots of Memories

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Shillong and begin your journey towards Guwahati.

Drive through the scenic landscapes of Meghalaya and reach Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Guwahati, for your onward journey.

To confirm your booking, a booking amount of ₹3,000 per person is required. Please note that all quotations are tentative and subject to availability until the booking is confirmed. The remaining payment must be made as per the Payment Policy shared at the time of booking. Failure to complete the payment within the specified timeline may result in the cancellation of your booking.

All payments must be made through the approved payment methods provided by International Youth Club. If you wish to make a cash deposit, please inform us in advance and retain the bank receipt, as unauthorized cash deposits may affect your booking confirmation.

Booking Amount: A non-refundable booking amount of ₹3,000 per person is required to confirm your booking.
46 Days or More Before Departure: 25% of the total package cost must be paid.
31–45 Days Before Departure: 50% of the total package cost must be paid.
15–30 Days Before Departure: 100% of the total package cost must be paid.

Important: If the full payment is not received at least 15 days prior to the departure date, the booking is liable to be cancelled, and the amount paid will be forfeited.

For Flight Tickets

100% of the flight ticket amount must be paid at the time of flight booking.
Any rescheduling, cancellation, or refund of flight tickets will be governed by the respective airline’s policies and terms.

We would love to host you, but in case you are unable to travel as planned and need to cancel your booking, do not worry.

Notes :

If the company cancels the trip due to operational issues, the customer will receive a full refund of the trip amount including GST, excluding any airfare, train fare, or external transport costs not booked through the company.

Pending Refund :

Any refund pending on your booking will be credited to the same mode of payment through which you paid in 5-7 working days.

Partial Refund :

Any case in which a partial refund will be issued will be calculated after deducting the Booking Amount and Cancellation Charges depending on the time of Cancellation.

Remaining Amount :

Will be calculated on the amount paid over and above the booking amount.

Bypass Policy :

Any and all Cancellation Policies are superseded by the Emergency Case Cancellation Policy in case of situations such as war, pandemics, force majeure, or similar extraordinary events affecting the tour region.

Reschedule:

Additional costs will apply, based on the time at which you notify us.

Credit Note :

Credit Notes issued have 1 year of expiry and can be used entirely in any of your future trips.

GST

Any GST charged on any transaction will not be refunded.

More than 30 days before departure: One-time complimentary rescheduling.
30 days or less before departure: Rescheduling is subject to applicable amendment charges from hotels, transport providers, and other service partners. These charges must be borne by the guest.
All rescheduling requests will only be accepted via email at bookings@internationalyouthclub.org.
