1: Start your adventure with a scenic drive from Srinagar to Sonamarg, covering 76 km in approximately 4 hours, reaching an altitude of 9,100 ft.
2: Begin your trek from Shitkadi to Nichnai, a distance of 11 km, taking around 6 hours as you ascend to an altitude of 11,500 ft.
3: Continue your journey from Nichnai to Vishansar Lake, trekking 13 km over 6 hours, reaching an altitude of 12,000 ft amidst stunning views.
4: Trek from Vishnusar Lake to Gadsar Lake, covering 16 km in about 5 hours, ascending to 13,750 ft, and witnessing the beauty of high-altitude landscapes.
5: Explore the path from Gadsar Lake to Satsar Lake, trekking 12 km in 6 hours at an altitude of 12,000 ft, surrounded by pristine wilderness.
6: Trek 9 km from Satsar Lake to Gangbal Twin Lakes, a journey of 6 hours at an altitude of 11,500 ft, enjoying the tranquility of this remote region.

Embark on a picturesque drive from Srinagar to Sonamarg (Shitkadi), covering a distance of 76 km. Expect a journey of approximately 4 hours.
En route, take the opportunity to explore some of Srinagar’s renowned attractions like Dal Lake and Mughal Gardens, enhancing your experience.
Upon reaching Sonamarg in the evening, at first settle into camps situated just outside the town, marking the starting point of your Kashmir great lakes trek.

Day 2 - -Trek from Shitkadi To Nichnai (Trek : 11 km, Duration: 6 hrs, Altitude: 11,500 ft)
Commence your great lakes trek from Shitkadi, located just a short distance outside of Sonamarg.
Kick off your journey at a roadside Dhaba, where you can grab packed meals to fuel your adventure.
Follow the trail alongside the picturesque Sindh River, meandering through Maple and Pine tree groves.
After a few hours of walking, pause to admire the breathtaking view of the Sonamarg valley behind you.
Cover a trekking distance of 11 km over , reaching an altitude of 11,500 ft, as you immerse yourself in the beauty of the surroundings.
Day 3 - Trek From Nichnai To Vishansar Lake (Trek : 13 km, Duration: 6 hrs, Altitude: 12,000 ft)
Embark on your trek from Nichnai, following the renowned Kashmir Great Lakes route.
Delight in the journey as you traverse through lush green meadows, immersing yourself in the natural beauty surrounding you.

Day 4 - Trek From Vishnusar Lake To Gadsar Lake (Trek : 16 km, Duration: 5 hrs, Altitude: 13,750 ft
Start your day with a hearty breakfast before beginning the trek from Vishnusar Lake to Gadsar Lake.
As you make your way, you’ll pass through Kishansar Lake on your route towards Gadsar Pass, an essential part of the journey.
Anticipate spending approximately 2 to 3 hours reaching the summit, depending on your pace.
Upon reaching the summit, prepare to be amazed by the breathtaking vistas, offering panoramic views of both Vishnusar Lake and Kishansar Lake below.

Day 5 - Trek From Gadsar Lake To Satsar Lake (Trek : 12 km, Duration: 6 hrs, Altitude: 12,000 ft)
Day 5 begins with rejuvenating deep breathing exercises followed by a hearty breakfast at the campsite.
Cross the river to embark on your trek towards Satsar, feeling the excitement as you dip your toes into the refreshing waters.
Satsar comprises seven interconnected lakes, each reflecting its unique beauty depending on the season.
Select a campground near the first lake to enjoy a picturesque and comfortable camping experience amidst nature’s tranquility.

Day 6 - Trek From Satsar Lake To Gangbal Twin Lakes (Trek : 9 km, Duration: 6 hrs, Altitude: 11,500 ft)
Before we leave prepare yourself for a challenging day ahead as we gear up for a lengthy and demanding hike across rocky terrain scattered with stones.
Our goal for today is Gangbal, and we’ll start our descent towards it after crossing the final Lake of Satsar.
Be ready for rugged trails and uneven footing, requiring concentration and endurance as we navigate through the landscape.
Despite the demanding nature of the hike, the promise of stunning scenery and a sense of achievement awaits us at Gangbal.
Stay focused and pace yourself as we take on this challenging stretch of the journey.
Day 7 - Trek From Gangbal To Naranaag And Drive To Srinagar (Trek: 13 km, Duration: 6 hrs, Altitude: 7,450 ft)
Today signifies the end of our trekking adventure, marking the final leg of our journey.
Commence the trek by tracing the creek until reaching the tree line, then continue through pine forests and grassy areas.
At last our ultimate destination is Naranaag, where our SUVs will be ready to transport us back.
Savor the last moments of the journey, soaking in the sights and sounds of the surrounding nature.
Finally the trip ends here.

Personal Trekking Gear: Moreover participants must bring their own trekking gear, including trekking poles, shoes, ponchos, gloves, warm caps, bags, and jackets, to ensure comfort and safety throughout the trek.
Mules or Porters: Furthermore if needed, mules or porters can be arranged at an extra cost to assist with carrying personal luggage. However, this service is not included in the package and must be arranged separately.
Insurance: Insurance is not included in the package; however it can be arranged separately for an additional cost.

What if some natural calamities happen in between the treks?
International Youth Club takes utmost care to ensure the safety of its members during the trekking expeditions. However, in the case of any unforeseen mishaps, International Youth Club will not be liable for any injuries caused or for loss of life. All disputes arising due to the above are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi/Delhi only. All participants would be required to sign an Indemnity Form before the start of the program, without which they would not be allowed to take part in the trekking and expeditions.

Transportation from Srinagar to Sonamarg is included in the package as per the itinerary.
Food: What and how will it be provided?
Meals will be provided while on the trek. Our cooks will be serving simple vegetarian nutritious veg hot meals for both breakfast and dinner during the camping. Hot lunch will be provided during the trek. (Rice pulao, potato, dal, local dishes, hot soups, eggs, bread, poha, sweet, tea, milk, high energy bars, dry fruits, juices, etc. is the regular menu)
Medication
Oxygen cylinders and first aid will be there during the trek. The rescue and medical team will be available on call in case of any exigencies from the insurance company.
