Itinerary of Ladakh Bike Trip from Delhi

Day 00: Delhi to Manali || 6,700 ft | 540 KM | 14-15 hr

  • Today you will be boarding a Volvo bus to Kullu Manali from Delhi after 5 PM.
  • It will be an overnight journey so make sure that you are well prepared.

Day 01: (Manali) Arrival in Manali || 6,700 ft

  • Once you reach Manali, check-in at the pre-booked camps/hotel.
  • Today’s day is rest and acclimatization day. You may enjoy a relaxing nature walk on your own to Hadimba Temple, and Manu temple in Old Manali village.
  • Hadimba Temple is truly one-of-a-kind, as it is dedicated to Hadimba Devi, wife of the mighty Bhima from the Hindu epic Mahabharata.
  • Manu Temple is located near the river Beas is dedicated to sage Manu, the creator of the world.
  • Get ready for an orientation process and tour briefing in the evening.

Day 02: Journey from Jispa / Sarchu

  • Start your day with a hearty breakfast.
  • Begin your journey towards Jispa / Sarchu, the hub of the Ladakh region.

Day 04: Leh Local Sightseeing

  • Start your day with a delicious breakfast.

Day 05: Journey from Leh to Nubra Valley

  • Experience the thrill of crossing Khardung La, one of the World’s Highest Motorable Passes.
  • On your way to Nubra, take a moment to appreciate the beautiful Buddha Statue and Diskit Monastery.
  • Upon reaching Nubra, you have the option to enjoy a camel ride in the sand dunes (additional cost applies).
  • Later, hand over your bike keys to the road captain and settle in for an overnight stay in Nubra (Hunder).

Day 06: Journey from Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso

  • Start your day with a hearty breakfast to fuel your adventurous spirit.
  • Prepare for another day of daring off-roading as you traverse untamed paths in the high mountains.
  • Your route leads to the stunning Pangong Tso (lake) via the Shyok River or Wari La Pass—an exhilarating journey often used by the army.
  • Upon arrival, feast your eyes on the enchanting blue lake and its breathtaking surroundings. ( If the Agam route is closed, we’ll adjust the itinerary accordingly.)
  • Once you reach Pangong Tso, take your time to enjoy the picturesque lake and the magnificent views all around you.
  • Later, hand over your bike keys to the road captain and settle in for an overnight stay.
  • Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Pangong Tso, along with breakfast for the following day.

Day 07: Journey from Pangong to Hanle with Rezang La War Memorial

  • Start your bike ride from Pangong Lake after having breakfast at your accommodation.
  • Depart from Pangong, enjoying the stunning views as you ride.
  • Reach Chushul and visit the Rezang La War Memorial, honouring the heroes of the 1962 Indo-China War.
  • Enjoy views of the Black Mountain as you ride.
  • Reach Hanle en route to Loma Bend.
  • Visit the Hanle Observatory (if you arrive in Hanle before 4 PM).
  • Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay while taking in the beauty of the night in Hanle.

Day 08: Journey from Hanle to Umling la, Demchok and Transfer to Tso Moriri

  • Start the day with a hearty breakfast in Hanle, preparing for an exhilarating ride ahead.
  • Set off toward Umling La Top, the highest motorable road in the world, where breathtaking views and adrenaline await.
  • Weather permitting, venture to the enchanting Demchock Village, where you can marvel at the beautiful India-China River, a stunning natural border between the two nations.
  • After soaking in the sights, return via the scenic View of Nyoma, with picturesque landscapes accompanying your ride.
  • Start your journey towards Tso Moriri for an overnight stay.

Day 09: Journey from Tso Moriri to Sarchu

  • Wake up to the beautiful views of Tso Moriri in the morning and have your breakfast.
  • Get ready for an adventurous journey as we make our way to Sarchu.
  • On the way, we will stop to explore the Puga Valley, home to several hot springs and mud pools, and known as a hub for generating geothermal energy.
  • Continue the journey, until we reach Tso Kar for another quick stop.
  • Here, we will witness the unique white landscape of salt deposit that is left behind by the saline water on the shores of the lake.
  • After riding further we will reach the Manali-Leh road.
  • On the way we will pass some major high-altitude passes like the Lachung-La (5065 m) and Nakee-La (4738 m).
  • We will also soak in the stunning landscape at the famous Moore Plains, a straight and flattened road stretching over 50 km.
  • Before reaching Sarchu, we will also pass the treacherous Gata Loops that feature 21 hairpin bends at an elevation of 4669m.
  • Reach Sarchu by evening, check-in to your camps and have your dinner.
  • Overnight stay in Sarchu.

Day 10: Journey from Sarchu to Manali

  • Post breakfast in the morning, get ready for the day.
  • Today, we will board our transfers to Manali via Atal Tunnel.
  • On the way, we will take a quick stop at the iconic Baralacha La located at an altitude of 4850m.
  • Then, we will pass the scenic Suraj Taal and Deepak Taal Lakes.
  • Further, we will pass the picturesque towns of Darcha, Jispa, Keylong and Sissu until we reach the Atal Tunnel.
  • After crossing the Atal Tunnel, pass through the Solang Valley – a hub for adventure activities to reach Manali.
  • Upon reaching Manali, check in to your hotel and spend the evening at leisure.
  • You can either rest in your room or head out to explore the Mall road where you can shop, eat or take a stroll.
  • Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 11: Journey from Kullu Manali to Delhi Departure

  • Wake up to a leisurely morning in Manali and have your breakfast at the hotel.
  • You can then spend the day at leisure exploring Manali’s charming attractions on your own.
  • You can start your sightseeing by visiting the famous Hidimba Temple, dedicated to the wife of Bheem.
  • Further, you can relax in the natural hot springs of Vashisht Temple which is dedicated to sage Vashisht, teacher of Lord Ram.
  • After exploring various attractions, you can shop and eat around the famous Mall Road.
  • By evening, reach the Manali bus stop to board your bus to Delhi.
  • Overnight bus journey to Delhi.

Day 12: Arrival in Delhi

  • After an overnight journey, reach Delhi in the morning.
  • Your amazing Ladakh trip concludes, leaving you with a lot of adventurous memories.

  6. In case Motorbike is dropped on the way – The cost incurred to transfer/tow, vehicle servicing or maintenance cost.
  7. Any lunch and other meals not mentioned in package inclusions.
  8. Security deposit per motorbike of Rs. 10,000/- for accidental damages or dropping back the bike if in case you leave the bike in between the route before the end date of the trip.
  9. Parking, Monastery, and Monument entry fees during sightseeing.
  10. Any cost incurred due to extension, change of itinerary due to natural calamities, road, blocks, vehicle breakdown, union issues, and factors beyond our control.

  1. Day 00 – The volvo will start between 07PM to 08PM as per the availability scheduled Please make yourself available before 5 PM in Delhi at reporting point which could be Kashmiri gate or RK Ashram Metro Station.
  2. The check-in time is 12 noon/early check-in subject to availability of the room.
  3. We have the right to cancel the group if we do not get the minimum strength of bikes in any group.
  4. If there are any additional expenses due to bad weather or any other reason beyond the control of the tour operator on account of a hotel stay, transportation, and meals, etc. extra bill will be raised. Neither International Youth Club nor the participating partners/hotels will be responsible for the additional expenses.
  5. International Youth Club is not responsible for any change in itinerary due to reasons beyond our control like change in flight and train schedule, cancellation of flights/trains, political disturbances, natural phenomenon, etc…
  6. If any group member wants to leave the group in-between the tour then he/she will not be eligible for any refund and has to pay the cost for transportation of bike from point of leaving the tour till the tour endpoint.
  7. Wearing a helmet, carrying a valid ID proof & Driving license is mandatory.
  8. All guests will be responsible for the safety and security of their own luggage. We will not be at all responsible for the damage / missing / lost luggage. So carry a small daypack bag to carry all the expensive things with you.
  9. Compensation for any damage/accident done by you during the tour to others property/person would be directly payable by you.
  10. Due to any unforeseen weather conditions, road blockage, snowfall, rain, storm, the tour may continue to operate in tempo traveler instead of bikes.
  11. Foreign Nationals have to pay separately on their own for the permits.
  12. Basic First Aid Kit – It’s advised that one should bring his/her own medicines which are known and suitable to him.
  13. Road Captain will be responsible to manage the group by taking all safety measures. The group has to follow him to make the tour a success.
  14. We provide a well-experienced and skilled Royal Enfield Mechanic with spare parts and tools. They are well trained to handle large groups. The spares used on the way will be chargeable.
  15. Backing vehicle – Bolero/Camper/Xylo/Innova/tempo for mechanical and medical support.
  16. In case of an emergency, if any rider is feeling uneasy then he can sit in the backup.
  17. Only one rucksack/backpack of 60 liters will be adjusted as it will be having tools and spares too.

For Ground Package

To secure your booking, an initial payment of Rs. 3,000/- is required. Please note that this advance amount is non-refundable under all circumstances.

A structured payment schedule must be followed to ensure smooth processing of your travel arrangements:

30 Days Before the Travel Date:

You are required to pay 50% of the total package cost. This allows us to initiate reservations and confirm essential travel services.

15 Days Before the Travel Date:

An additional 25% of the total package cost must be paid. This step helps us finalize and secure all necessary travel components.

7 Days Before the Travel Date:

The remaining balance, completing 100% of the total amount, must be cleared. Full payment is mandatory to process your final confirmations and travel documents.

Important:

The booking stands liable to be canceled if 100% payment is not received less than 07 days before the Date of Travel. The received amount will be forfeited.

We would love to host you, but in case you are unable to travel as planned and need to cancel your booking, do not worry.

Notes :

If the company cancels the trip due to operational issues, the customer will receive a full refund of the trip amount including GST, excluding any airfare, train fare, or external transport costs not booked through the company.

Pending Refund :

Any refund pending on your booking will be credited to the same mode of payment through which you paid in 5-7 working days.

Partial Refund :

Any case in which a partial refund will be issued will be calculated after deducting the Booking Amount and Cancellation Charges depending on the time of Cancellation.

Remaining Amount :

Will be calculated on the amount paid over and above the booking amount.

Bypass Policy :

Any and all Cancellation Policies are superseded by the Emergency Case Cancellation Policy in case of situations such as war, pandemics, force majeure, or similar extraordinary events affecting the tour region.

Reschedule:

Additional costs will apply, based on the time at which you notify us.

Credit Note :

Credit Notes issued have 1 year of expiry and can be used entirely in any of your future trips.

GST : 

Any GST charged on any transaction will not be refunded.

In case you are unable to travel as planned and need to reschedule your date of travel:

  • Before 30 Days from the Date of Travel – One-time Complementary.
  • Within 15 Days from the Date of Travel – The cost of rescheduling needs to be paid by the guest subject to amendment charges from hotels and transporters.
  • Rescheduling will only be accepted on Email at ankit@internationalyouthclub.org.

What should you buy in Ladakh?

The famous things to buy while shopping in Ladakh can be divided into three categories:

  • Everyday items: Apricot items, kitchenware, Kurtis, shawls, t-shirts, hats, Chhang (local alcoholic beverage)

Taking rest for a day or two to get yourself acclimatized is a piece of advice that is always recommended. Also, it is always suggested to avoid any strenuous activity during your initial days.

Should I visit Leh Ladakh during winters?

For exploring the real beauty of Ladakh, it is advised to visit during winters. At the same time, as oxygen levels are low during winters, its generally not recommended to most of the people due to adaptability issues.

Are there any ATM’s in Leh Ladakh? Or Do I need to survive on cash?

Do note that cards are not accepted at major places like petrol pumps, restaurants, etc. And during your travel, only a few ATMs can be found at some places like Manali, Srinagar, which again aren’t a guarantee. It is recommended to carry at least ₹20,000 in hand to fill in as a bunker if needed.
